CLOUDS(PODIUM & PAVILION)

     COMPETITION ENTRY

Historically the Olympic games have created a large amount of waste. Clouds aim to captivate public attention and elevate people’s perception of recycled plastic materials by creating a pavilion that takes part in every event of the Olympics games. Inspired by the idea, Clouds serve as award podiums for the 2028 Olympics and a permanent, poetic pavilion for the city of Los Angeles at Baldwin Hills.

The pavilion is formed by 28 interlocking podiums and 207 aluminum columns, representing the number of countries participating in the games. Staying beyond the Olympic games, the pavilion aims to promote the spirit of the Olympic games while captivating public attention and elevate people’s perception of recycled plastic materials.
