TAKING APART (ASILO SANT’ELIA)

          

     ARCHITECTURAL ANALYSIS, RISD       PROFESSOR LEXI TSIEN

 

The project intends to explore the transparency of the interior and exterior spaces in Giuseppe Terragni’s Asilo Sant’Elia. The architecture was studied through hand drafting and digital modeling and interpreted by axonometric drawings and perspective drawings. Through the act of taking part, I was able to understand better the relationships between various constituents of the architecture. With this analysis, I created representations of the architectural experience using overlapping perspectives with only vertical lines that highlight the different densities of materials.
